A news article shows a local girl has been reported missing.
The police are searching for her and her family are distraught.
The girl has been kidnapped and is being tortured in the
kidnapper’s basement. The kidnapper lives in the countryside where no-one can
hear her scream.
The film shows the girl's trauma and how she is tortured and harmed. It shows what her family is going through and how they try and find her.

In the end the girl is found and has to have therapy to get over the traumatic experience. Her parents marriage has fallen apart due to her Mum going crazy from her daughter being kidnapped. In the end the girl is reunited with her Mum and the kidnapper is put into prison.
